Cabin

We spent conference weekend at the cabin in American Fork Canyon. Words cannot describe the beauty of nature. Ben, Jesse, and I took a ride up to Silver Lake and I was truly amazed! There is nothing more serene or peaceful than being in the mountains smelling fresh rain. I have...lets say a mild fettish with the smell of wet dirt or rocks. I know it is crazy, but I cannot help it. Ben makes fun of me all the time because of it.

Deer Hunt

The day before the hunt ended Ben got his buck! It may not be the biggest...however he is the toughest. My mom, dad, Clayton and Ben had to track him for five miles after the first shot.

I have never really liked gamey meat, so Ben decided to make jerky. I was alright with that until I opened the fridge and found all of my tupperware with bloody, fatty, meat (just imagine gross), topped with all of my kitchen towels. I have to say I have not had much of an appetite since. All I can say is it is a good thing he is so good looking!

The Rest of the Family...

Here are some more the this fun family!

Tobey's

Gorgeous Family!! I really enjoyed taking this family session. I love these so much that I am probably going to blow some up for my studio (in the making). I am working on doing a blog just for Picture This...but for now it is a mix of my life.

Country Kids

Well...we survived the harvest. This time of year is always hard for me because Ben works long hours, and we don't get alot of one on one time. On one hand, I am grateful for the farm and the life that it provides for our family, but on the other hand I love when the season is over! Farming is truly a family blessing! Our children get to experience what most kids don't.

Brotherly and Sisterly Love

At times I wonder if this really exists?? But then I look at pictures that confirm the moments that count. OK...I know there is a law against nudeness and children, but I simply can't resist sharing this picture. This is what happened when Uncle Michael took the camera upstairs to see what the commotion was all about.
